That is a vast topic!
I'm learning to grow mushrooms at home. Right now I make my grain spawn using a small pressure cooker and expand my grain with coffee grounds (because we drink loads of coffee!) Then I'm using 5-gal buckets for fruiting (because winter is snowy and long here so they're indoors.) I just fruit them in an extra shower we have but never use. That way when I mist the mushrooms, it stays in the waterproof shower area.
This is my current go-to but I'm always trying to learn more.
I got a lot of ideas from YouTube, of course. I suggest you watch other people's endeavors to see what you may want to try. Then, you just have to try! Don't do too many at once but just choose one mushroom, preferably an oyster mushroom. Choose one that will grow in your temperatures more easily (some prefer cool, others warm, etc). Oysters are a perfect beginner mushroom.
