Colorado!

Have been here for 3 years and have learned a lot but still figuring things out. I’ve gardened all over the US and this is by far the hardest place to grow fruits and veggies!
I’ve currently got 4 raised beds that I grow organically in. My garden is my happiness :)

Hey there, welcome in! Colorado is one of my favorite places to visit, you've got a gorgeous state 🏔️ I think you're the first Colorado gardener here so far, but there will definitely be others soon.

I'd guess you have some of the same soil issues we have in Arizona - sandy, low organic matter, alkaline? Your raised beds are probably a big help avoiding that! What kind of challenges do you face up there?

Awesome - glad you're here! Have visited Colorado a few times, many great areas. As already pointed out, depending on where you are in the state, you could be having similar issues as we have here in Arizona. Great that you are pushing forward though despite the challenges.

Hello! I'm also from Colorado! Both my mom and I were born and raised here, mostly in the Springs/Pueblo/Cañon areas. I got into gardening... Wow, almost ten years ago! It still feels like I just got hired on at the garden center as a cashier a few years ago & really started learning, I'm still pretty ignorant in plenty of ways.

Met my partner at the same aforementioned garden center, where he worked a different dept.
We've got a toddler who turns three next month, so I'm very excited to share our love of gardening with her as I learn more. I want her introduction to growing to go better than mine went, when I was a child.
